1. About RentRelay
RentRelay is a platform designed to connect outgoing tenants with prospective incoming tenants. The goal of the platform is to help outgoing tenants find a suitable replacement tenant for their rental property while enabling incoming tenants to discover homes earlier than traditional rental listings.
RentRelay acts only as a facilitation platform for sharing property information between users.
2. Nature of the Platform
RentRelay does not own, rent, lease, or manage any properties listed on the platform. All property details, images, and descriptions are provided by users who submit listings.
RentRelay does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any property listing.
3. Referral Brokerage
If an incoming tenant finalizes a rental property through RentRelay, a referral brokerage equal to 50% of one month’s rent may apply.
This referral amount is typically shared as follows:
- 90% of the referral amount is paid to the outgoing tenant who listed the property.
- 10% is retained by RentRelay as a platform facilitation fee.
By proceeding with property viewing or finalizing a rental through RentRelay, users acknowledge and agree to this referral model.
4. Role of RentRelay
RentRelay functions solely as a platform connecting tenants. RentRelay:
- is not a real estate broker or property agent
- does not negotiate rental terms between parties
- does not verify ownership of properties
- does not participate in lease agreements
All rental agreements are executed directly between the property owner and the incoming tenant.
5. User Responsibility
Users submitting listings agree that:
- the property details shared are accurate to the best of their knowledge
- they have permission to share details of the property
- any images uploaded are genuine and represent the actual property
Users searching for flats are responsible for independently verifying the property, landlord, and rental terms before entering into any agreement.
6. Property Viewing & Communication
RentRelay may assist in facilitating introductions between outgoing tenants and prospective tenants for property viewings.
However, RentRelay is not responsible for scheduling conflicts, cancellations, or any disputes arising between users.
7. Platform Limitation of Liability
RentRelay is not responsible for:
- disputes between tenants, landlords, or property owners
- financial transactions between parties
- property condition or maintenance
- misrepresentation in listings
Users agree that RentRelay is only a platform facilitating connections and shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from rental arrangements.
